Tony Blair Cares What You Think

In order to further our feeling that we're participating in a meaningful democracy, 10 Downing Street now has a website section where you can petition the Prime Minister. Yay British democracy!

I urge everyone to hurry over to sign the one to petition the Prime Minister to stand on his head and juggle ice-cream.

More seriously, there are petitions covering topics such as: scrapping the ID card plan, making sane changes to copyright law, legalizing cannabis, repealing SOCPA (which makes it illegal to demonstrate in the area outside Parliament without permission), etc.

It appears to be fairly new, and if it serves to show Whitehall what issues people feel strongly about it might be worth signing things.
